I have been making content a lot longer than I have been in the gym. I played basketball through high school and for a year at North Texas, tore my meniscus, and came home with nothing to do and a camera I barely knew how to use. So I shot music videos for people. I streamed. I edited constantly.
The fitness side came later and it started selfishly. I had gotten heavy, and every time I tried to train I could not see anything changing, so I started filming myself every day just to have proof it was working. That is what kept me in the gym. Somewhere in there the footage got good, and the two things I had been doing separately turned out to be the same skill.
Now I shoot and cut for brands in the same room I train in. I know what a gym video is supposed to feel like, because I have been making mine for years.
